HEALTH Malaria & Dragonflies
Malaria carried by mosquitoes is a serious problem in Zambia. Malaria is one of the world’s three major infectious diseases, along with tuberculosis and AIDS, and the number of deaths worldwide reaches more than 600,000 per year. Thanks to some subsidies from banana paper income and expenses, team members were able to install mosquito nets in their homes that are effective in preventing malaria. We also invite experts from the public health center to give advice on how to properly understand malaria, how to install mosquito nets, and other preventive measures.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 3: Good health and well-being set a goal to eradicate AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria by 2030. Banana Paper will continue to work toward this goal through its business and local activities. SDG Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
