The banana paper factory in Zambia has 20+ team members. We call ourselves the “banana team,” not “staff.” Members live in Mfuwe Village area near South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. Many have not been employed before. Our Banana Paper Team value diversity and working together without discrimination in terms of gender, age, or religion. We have 4 Team Leaders – half are women and half are men. The age of our Team Members ranges from 20s to 60s. Many belongs to the Kunda Tribe – traditionally a hunting tribe. However, South Luangwa and Zambian Government has been working to crate a co-relation between wild animals and people, resulting in South Luangwa becoming the worlds first sustainable National Park (2017 / UN).
