The One Planet Paper® Council is a network of paper product manufacturers and printing companies throughout Japan. We are promoting the spread of banana paper “One Planet Paper®,” which is environmentally friendly, creates employment in poor villages in Africa, and supports the independence of local people. In addition, we are conducting fair trade, research on paper that considers the environment and society, and raising awareness.
Sustainability experts, Printing firms, Paper product makers and Designers meet 4 times a year in Tokyo.
Be Serious, Go Bananas”
With the slogan of “Be Serious, Go Bananas!”, we are doing fun and energetic activities while seriously thinking about sustainable paper, fair trade, and ethical. Go Bananas is meant to be fun, and I use it as a hanging phrase with banana paper.

2) Global movements related to environmental and social issues, fair trade, ethical purchasing, etc., research and information dissemination on sustainable paper and corporate activities
