Reducing malaria
Malaria carried by mosquitoes is a serious problem in Zambia. Malaria is one of the three major infectious diseases in the world along with tuberculosis and AIDS, and the number of deaths in the world is over 600,000 annually.
Partially subsidizing income and costs from banana paper allowed team members to install mosquito nets in their homes that help prevent malaria. We also invite experts from the public health center to get advice on how to properly understand malaria, how to install mosquito nets, and other preventive measures.
The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) “Goal 3: Health and Welfare for All” set the goal of eradicating AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria by 2030.
Banana Paper will continue to work toward achieving this goal through business and local activities.
