The first United Nations International Conference on the Environment was held in Sweden in 1972. Sweden has since been working towards sustainability for over 50 years. Both Sweden and neighbouring Denmark have been ranked Top-3 in the international sustainability ranking “SDGs INDEX” for several years. Sweden has been ranked as No 1 in the international ranking for sustainable travel destinations, and No 2 on the international ranking for innovation.<\/p>\n
